When we receive a call or email from a prospective client we always take them through a checklist of inital questions so that we can help them more effectively.

The opening questions are name, address, phone number, but we now also always ask ‘are you on Twitter?’

With all the hype and talk around social media it is fairly surprising that a large minority are not in Twitter at all and a large majority are hardly ever using it. 

I was speaking to my social media team member the other week who commented to that even a number of large businesses are not engaged on Twitter or social media at all.

This gives you a tremendous opportunity since whilst your competitors may be saying that they are on Twitter and other forms of social media, it is likely that they are not using it much at all.  Which gives you a tremendous market to explore.
