The importance of tracking your numbers…

Most business owners look at their numbers – sales, profit, cash – every month. However, I would argue that is far better to look at the numbers every week. You can change things quicker and act accordingly. A month is a long time in business.
It does take a tremendous amount of discipline to review your numbers every week and you’ll need a clear space in your diary (I do mine on Sunday evening) but it is worth it and it does increase your chances of hitting your targets.
A big obstacle in tracking the numbers every week is some business owners won’t know what the numbers are or how to get them. Systems need to be set up to ensure that the numbers are quick to access.
